Compo.

Hand made using a traditional recipe. For use on mirror and picture frames. Press into moulds, hand model or carve when hard. Just heat to use.

Sold as 200gm balls.

 

Gilders Gesso for under gold.

A traditional white gesso preparation, just heat to use as a surface coating before gilding or to repair damage to mirrors, picture frames and gilded furniture. Can be burnished unlike acrylic gesso.

Sold as 600gm in refill bags or Plastic Containers.

Painters Gesso for under paint.

A traditional gesso preparation, just heat to use as a surface coating before painting. use on furniture or canvas.  Can be burnished unlike acrylic gesso.

Putty.

A Thicker form of gesso for filling holes and cracks in old gesso. Just heat to use.

Sold as 300gm in bags.

 

Prepared Rabbit skin glue.

Rabbit skin glue makes a strong glue solution which is used as a size before applying gesso. It can also be used on canvas or board. Just heat to use.

Sold as 150 gm or 300gm in refill bags or Plastic Containers.

 

Whiting.

To be used on hands and surfaces when heating compo to prevent sticking.

Sold as 100 gm or 500gm in bags.

 

Restoration Pack.

This pack contains

2 balls of compo,

1 x 150gm pot of ready made glue, 

1 x 600gm pot of gilders gesso,

1 x 300gm bag of putty,

1 x 100gm bag of whiting.

 

 

All the above products except the whiting need to be stored in a fridge or freezer to prolong their life, as they all have animal glue in them which will go off.
